Anurognathus (frog Jaw)
A near complete but fragmentary and disarticulated skeleton described by
Döderlein in 1923 shows a short tailed and wide mouthed rhamphorhynchoid with
blunt teeth. A second specimen was described by Bennett in 2002 of a
fully articulated specimen with an impression of a wing membrane. Both
specimens are from the Solnhofen Limestone.
