Beipiaopterus chenianus
Beipiaopterus (Beipia wing) chenianus (after professor Chen Pei ji)
Holotype: A partial skeleton from the Yixian Formation at Sihetun Quarry, Beipia City, Liaoning Province, China. This specimen, BPM-0002, is a ctenochasmid and is Barremian in age.
The main parts of the vertebral column, a complete wing and the hind limbs have been recovered from this site.
