The collections at Leicester are extremely well curated and stored. The pterosaur remains are however, quite fragmentary. (updated 2002)

The new children's activity area within the museum includes a rubbing area where fossil impressions can be wax crayon rubbed onto paper. One of the fossils is a resin cast of Pterodactylus antiquus.
