James Scott Bowerbank 
(1797-1877) 

Bowerbank was an English naturalist and palaeontologist from Bishopsgate, London.  In 1840, Bowerbank published A History of the Fossil Fruits and Seeds of the London Clay.  He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1842 . he was also instrumental in establishing the Palaeontological Society in 1847.
