Archived Sources
The Pterosaur Database has archived a selection of scientific papers in order to show both the development of ideas over time and the method of presenting information to the scientific community.
The papers are copyright and are for one user only downloads. You may not copy, republish or distribute these papers to others in electronic form or as paper copies.
Users may retain one electronic copy of each paper for personal reference only. One printed copy is also permitted for personal reference only.
Where special conditions are attached, these are outlined on the download page.
The first group of papers show a convention with descriptive text and footnotes. Knowledge of the known specimens is assumed.

The standard of papers continues with the main features being the descriptive text and illustrations, adding footnotes to clarify points and add information. These papers are generally written for the scientific community.

The conventions of science stated to become more demanding and papers required a reference list in order to be accepted internationally. Many authors were starting to use the Harvard Convention as a world standard for reference material.
